About the new Compensation Scheme

Last updated: 18.01.2021

The scheme applies to the same industries as the previous compensation scheme, and is open to enterprises with a more than 30 per cent loss in turnover as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

There is more emphasis in the new scheme on conducting a seriousness assessment and control before payment. Applicants must use an authorised accountant or auditor. Each application is required to be confirmed by the auditor or authorised accountant before it is submitted.

If you do not use an authorised accountant or auditor today, it is important that you make an agreement with either an accountant or an auditor well in advance. You can also start putting together the necessary documentation for the application periods. Use the time well before Christmas. It will help make the application process easier and payment can be made within a few days.
